Contact Person Duties

The LifeChain is organized by individual congregations and groups with each having its own internal Contact Person.  This is a very important job; you are the one that makes the LifeChain work.

Every effort has been made to keep this process simple and efficient.  We work with you to provide all the signs you need and the proper size area on the LifeChain route.

  • Promote the LifeChain within your congregation or group
  • Determine the expected number participating
  • Pickup signs, handouts, and route assignments sheets
  • Distribute signs and handouts
  • Organize and evenly space your group at assigned location
  • Mail in response forms with final counts and comments

Promotion:  Each group can be very different.  As a Contact Person, you are in the best position to know your Pastor and congregation.  Following is a list of things others have used to get the word out in their congregation.  Please note that the greatest success comes from using as many of these as possible.

  • Pulpit Announcements
  • Bulletin Inserts
  • Posters
  • Sign-up Tables
  • Skits during classes & services
  • Prayer Group & Bible class sign-up
  • Other church networks
  • Personal testimonies
  • LifeChain signs
  • Phone trees

Included with your registration packet is a poster and a half page bulletin insert.  These are on white paper so that you can make copies of them; we suggest you use bright colored paper for added effect.  The bulletin inserts are designed so that after copying them you can cut the page in two.

This is what the LORD says: Do what is just and right. Rescue from the hand of his oppressor the one who has been robbed. Do no wrong or violence to the alien, the fatherless or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place.   Jeremiah 22:3

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.  And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.     1John 3:16
