LifeChain participants stand along the roadside, peacefully, prayerfully, and politely for one and a half hours holding a sign. This is done once each year on the first Sunday afternoon in October. In Milwaukee this has been done annually since 1990.
Our goal is to stand as a witness against the "shedding of innocent blood" before God, our neighbors, the community, and our political leaders.
Our primary message is ABORTION KILLS CHILDREN
Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter. If you say, "But we knew nothing about this," does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who guards your life know it? Will he not repay each person according to what he has done? (Proverbs 24:11-12)
In the Milwaukee Area we are organized by individual congregations and groups with each having its own internal Contact Person.
Since 1990 over 100,000 people have stood in LifeChains in Milwaukee, Waukesha, and other Wisconsin cities. Across America, Canada, and other countries, millions of people have also held our now familiar signs.
LifeChains do not break any laws and can be done by young and old alike.
